What exactly is RoleReady?
RoleReady by ChitraYantra is a spoken AI mock interview and employability coaching platform. You practise answering questions aloud in a realistic conversation, then receive a readiness score and feedback to help you prepare for real interviews. It combines subject and role-specific practice with coaching on how you explain your ideas.
Who is RoleReady for, and what can I use it for?
RoleReady is for students, graduates, and job seekers aged 18 or above, including early-career professionals in India. Use it to prepare for campus placements, internships, first jobs, or a move into a new role. It supports candidates with ITI, diploma, certificate, apprenticeship, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral backgrounds.
How does a mock interview work?
Sign in with Google, complete your profile, choose your academic stream and up to 5 target roles, and provide recording consent. Check your camera and microphone, then speak with the AI interviewer. It starts by asking about your education, projects or work experience, and the tools you use, then asks relevant questions and follow-ups. After submission, your interview is evaluated and a report becomes available.
Which subjects and academic streams are covered?
RoleReady covers 18 academic streams: Commerce; Management & Business; Sociology; Museology & Archaeology; Economics; Law & Legal Studies; Library & Information Science; Journalism & Mass Communication; Creative Arts, Design & Performing Arts; Computer Science, IT & MCA; Biological & Life Sciences; Chemical Sciences; Physical Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; Statistics; Geography & Environment; Engineering & Technology; Physical Education, Sports Science & Sports Management. Select your stream during onboarding to see the relevant subjects and career roles.
Is RoleReady only for coding or technical interviews?
No. Practice also covers commerce, management, law, social sciences, media, creative disciplines, sports, and other supported streams. Examples include accounting and finance, digital marketing, journalism, graphic design, animation, engineering, data science, and sports management. Questions are aligned with your selected roles and background.
Will the questions match my experience and target roles?
The interviewer uses your profile, selected roles, and what you share about your projects, work, and everyday tools to guide the conversation. It asks follow-up questions based on your answers. Past interview feedback and conversation history can also help it revisit weaker areas and explore stronger topics in more depth.
How much does RoleReady cost?
You get one lifetime free mock at ₹0, with no payment details required. Each detailed mock currently costs ₹199 on the web through Razorpay or ₹249 on Android through Google Play Billing. Each purchase gives you one detailed mock; the recommended preparation routine is a practice schedule, not a six-month subscription.
What is included in the free mock?
The free mock is a short introductory interview of about 5 minutes, with an overall readiness score and a concise feedback summary. It helps you establish a starting point and try the spoken interview experience. Each student gets one free attempt for life; the full category breakdown is available with a detailed mock.
What is included in a detailed mock?
A detailed mock gives you a role-aligned conversation lasting up to 30 minutes, with time for deeper questions and follow-ups. You receive an overall readiness score and a full six-dimension coaching report with strengths, improvement areas, and actionable feedback. A report is also sent to your registered email after evaluation.
What does the six-dimension report assess?
The report covers subject knowledge, problem solving, verbal communication, voice confidence, visual presence, and professional behaviour. Evaluation uses the spoken transcript and available audio; camera video is not sent to the evaluator. Visual presence is therefore limited to available conversation evidence and does not represent a review of your appearance or body language.
How many mocks should I take each month?
We recommend at least 4 mocks a month, roughly one each week. Space them out so you can review each report and work on its feedback before the next interview. Use the free mock as your initial baseline, then continue with detailed mocks for deeper practice and feedback.
How long should I prepare before interviews?
We recommend at least 6 months of consistent preparation, with at least 4 mocks a month: a minimum of 24 mocks over six months. Start early enough to strengthen subject knowledge, practise explaining your projects, and improve spoken delivery. This is preparation guidance; your progress depends on your starting point, target roles, and the work you do between mocks.
What is a practical six-month preparation plan?
In months 1–2, establish your baseline, practise your introduction and project explanations, and revise subject fundamentals. In months 3–4, focus on role-specific questions, problem solving, and the improvement areas in your reports. In months 5–6, practise realistic interview rounds and refine clarity, confidence, and professional responses. Take at least 4 mocks in every month and compare your progress throughout.
What should I do between mock interviews?
Read your report and choose one or two concrete areas to improve. Revise a weak subject, rehearse an answer aloud, practise explaining a project with specific examples, or structure a behavioural answer around the situation, task, action, and result. Apply that work in your next mock instead of simply repeating interviews without reviewing the feedback.
What should I budget for the recommended practice routine?
At current prices, 4 detailed mocks cost ₹796 a month on the web or ₹996 on Android. Over 6 months, 24 detailed mocks cost ₹4,776 on the web or ₹5,976 on Android. These examples assume all 24 mocks are paid; you can use your one lifetime free mock as a starting baseline. Check the price shown at checkout before purchasing.
What equipment do I need, and can I use Android?
You can practise on the web or in the RoleReady Android app. Have a Google account, a working camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. Choose a quiet, well-lit space, allow camera and microphone permissions, and complete the device check before starting. Headphones can help reduce echo.
Can I use the same account and paid mocks on web and Android?
Yes. Sign in with the same Google account on both platforms. Your profile, interview history, and available paid mocks are linked to that account, so a detailed mock purchased on one platform can be used on the other.
Do I need to wait on the interview screen for my report?
Once your interview has been submitted and its recording uploaded, evaluation runs in the background. You can return to the dashboard or leave while the report is being prepared. Check your interview history for the report; it is also emailed after evaluation, and registered Android devices can receive a notification.
Are my recordings private, and how long are they kept?
Interview audio and video recordings are stored privately and deleted after 90 days. The AI evaluator receives the conversation transcript and available audio, not camera video. Live transcripts and raw video playback are omitted from the candidate interview and report screens. Text transcripts and coaching evaluations are retained for ongoing preparation and interview continuity; see the Privacy page for details and data requests.
Does RoleReady replace studying or guarantee a job?
No. RoleReady helps you rehearse interviews and use feedback to improve, but it does not replace subject study, hands-on projects, or practical experience. Scores are coaching indicators, not employer hiring decisions. RoleReady does not guarantee placement, an offer, or a particular salary.
